Japanese girl Miki Asai is not a professional photographer. For her, it’s just a favorite hobby. She wants to show the beautiful world of small in her breathtaking macro series called “Ants”. Miki accompanies ants as they explore an amazing miniature world of flowers, stones and water (mostly within her own garden).
Miki Asai says that “I learned that when it comes to living things—if you want to achieve the shot that’s in your head—patience is really the only way. I’ve been asked by others how I control ants, but humans shouldn’t be able to control them. You’ve got to use a tripod, an appropriate shutter speed and depth of field, then rely on your own passion and patience.”
Currently she is living and working in Hokkaido. Each of her successive shot surprised versatility scenes. Who would have thought that all the ants in different ways? Have a look at the wonderful macro photography of Miki Asai to get inspirations.
